New to My Closet - Ashard Richley iPad Case/Purse

I'm infatuated with my new Ashard Richley iPad case/purse!

You can't stuff too much into it but what do you need all that stuff for anyway?  Yup, I love it!

Ashard Richley is a bag line designed by Ashley Burghardt, who won the Lifetime reality show 24 Hour Catwalk.  Her designs are fun yet practical and I love all the colors she uses but I also adore the Riley in white.  (If I hadn't already purchased this case, she would be mine...)

Off The Internet and Into My Closet

I usually never purchase online unless it's for a gift that I'm sending directly to someone, I much prefer the instant gratification of going to a store and having whatever it is that my heart desires in my hands when I leave.  (Even better if it's on sale.)  But the fact that I couldn't find a sandal anywhere with my exact "sandal specifications" meant a hunt online, which is where I found what I wanted...

(From DSW)
The color is not what I thought it was going to be but it turns out I like it even better!  (Actually, I must really like this color because I bought these booties, which I wear with almost everything when I need a non-heel moment.)  Anyway, I wore them to work yesterday and they were very comfy, not a blister or rub to speak of, which is near perfection in footwear for me!

But that's not the only thing I recently purchased off the internet.  I have had a rather too low cut tunic that has been hanging in my closet for a while now and it's something that I really want to wear so I refuse to get rid of it.  Yes, a bra issue.  I wanted something color blocked and once again, the internet came through...

(Bandeaus from Tillys)
The top one was what I originally wanted but the polka dots were on sale for something around $4, so why not?

I'm not convinced to do more online shopping just yet, the anticipation and wait kills me!  Am I the only one who feels this way?

The Time Has Come

My basket of alterations has been staring me down for a while now and it's finally succeeded in making me feel like I have to do something about it...

There are things in this basket that have been in this basket for a very long time.   (And some not so long.)  Of course it all stems from my problem of buying things that don't fit me well in the first place, but that's for another time.  Anyway, I've completed 2 out of the many alterations so far...

I shortened the sleeves on this ABS dress.  I like a long sleeve but this one just wasn't right on me.  I have been meaning to do this for about 2 years...

And I shortened these silk pajama pants to fit me.  I swear I bought them for home wear only but I have a certain shirt dress I might pair them with if I was feeling daring. These have only been in the basket for about 6 weeks.

Well, ok, it's a start.  I'm hoping to shorten a skirt (2 weeks) and cut a pair of pants into shorts, (3 years in the basket at least!)  So, that's what I'm going to go do.
