I told myself that I wouldn't buy any new (or new used) clothes, shoes or accessories for the month of January and so far, so good. So, I've been digging dresses out of my closet that I haven't worn in ages and I'm finding a new appreciation for quite a few of them. This one from Silk Culture happens to be one of them...

I've had it for 6 or 7 years but I find it a little tricky to wear. Silk has a tendency to be staticy in the dry winters here but wrinkles like mad in the humidity of summer. So today, the high being in the 60's or so, was the perfect day to wear it. (It was chilly in the morning so I had to do some layering.)
The print reminds me of a large blown up Hawaiian print but in strange colors...

Perhaps it's the combination of pastels with the brown? Not sure, but I like it and as long as the winter stays as mild as it has this year, I think it's going into current rotation. Well worth the closet dig, don't you think?
